ShoreMaster has released a new vertical lift model. The new lift is a model 2208 DVS which replaces the ShoreMaster 20855 straight rack.
The new ShoreMaster 2208 DVS vertical boat lift is targeted towards larger PWC's and smaller boats. At the time of this post, ShoreMaster said that there were only 4 of the old model 20855 straight rack boat lifts available and once they are gone, the new 2208 DVS lift will replace them.
Pricing for the new ShoreMaster model 2208 DVS vertical lift will be very similar as the model which it replaces, and the overall weight capacity will be increased 200 lbs. from the previous version's 2,000 lbs. capacity, to a heftier 2,200 lbs capacity on the new lift. The 2208 DVS will have an inside width of 96", and overall width of 108", and will utilize ShoreMaster's 'standard' 3C legs. The move to the 3C legs on the 2208 DVS lift will simplify the process for anyone looking to add a canopy to the lift, or increase the lifts leg adjustment by adding longer lift legs. The 3C legs are already used on ShoreMaster's larger vertical boat lifts, and the part commonality should make it easier for dealers to inventory the optional longer legs, making it easier for consumers to find them in the field. The ShoreMaster model 2208 DVS Vertical Boat Lift will utilize ShoreMaster's ultra-quiet whisper winch making those early morning and late night boating trips much more neighbor friendly.
